Music is an important part of Student Soul life.

Pretty much every Sunday night we have music led by a band of some configuration, and we sing together.

(It doesn’t matter if you’re not confident singing, you’ll be well led by our team, and you’re also completely free to just sit and enjoy the music if you want.)

Our goal for these moments of music are to create music experiences that allow people to think, feel, participate, relax and enjoy the environment of worship and belonging that we’re aiming to create.

It can be a lot of work to do all this, and we want to be realistic about what we ask of our students, so we try to keep it real. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be good.

So that’s a little taste of our philosophy around music.

What else might we say about worship? It is orienting your whole life toward God. It’s our purpose and destiny to worship God! Through Jesus Christ, we approach God the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit.
